It’s December 1959. The grill’s fired up and the coffee’s percolating at Dee Dee and Dave’s Diner in downtown Lisbon. But the diner doors will close for good after tonight’s dinner hour unless the bills stacked high on the counter get paid. After a minor skirmish with the Health Inspector who closed the Triple D down for three days, the Steel Trolley Diner’s business is booming, and not even Mona’s famous hot apple pie has lured the regulars back in.
