Get ready to celebrate the not-so-perfect Christmas with Mamaw Jo (Kay McMillan) and the McClelland Clan!
That's right! They're back by popular demand after their one weekend debut last season in our original holiday hit, "Christmas at Mamaw Jo's Stop-N-Go!"
When Resident Directors, Kandy Cleland and Jodine Pilmer teamed up to create this holiday Bluegrass musical for last season, they never anticipated the overwhelming response from the community, and the demands to bring it back to the stage this year.
Cleland recalled, “Last year’s patrons complained that we only ran one weekend and told me they wanted to come back and bring friends.” Cleland wrote the piece as a tribute to her son, Staff Sgt. Chip Cleland who currently serves in the Ohio National Guard. She wanted to help military families find their not-so-perfect Christmas story highlighted on the stage. “Families and friends of deployed servicemen and women find the holidays particularly challenging. I wanted to give them a holiday show they could identify with and provide some heartwarming music and laughter.”

OUR STORY- Along Route 30, truckers and travelers have come to rely on Mamaw for gas, coffee, Little Debbie Snacks, and down home country music. This year, there's no Christmas tree by the woodstove with Sgt. Chuck across the globe in Afghanistan. Still, Mamaw Jo’ s Stop-n-Go remains a port in a storm for stranded motorists on the stretch between Topless Mindy’s and the Bottom of the Hill Baptist Temple, and on this Christmas Eve, a light in dark times to a very confused young lady.
