Director Kandace Cleland, Musical Director Jodine Pilmer and Choreographer Christine Martin seek a cast of 20-26 young people to play the characters for Stage Left Youth Players' production of Moana Jr.
Actors of all abilities are encouraged to audition. Auditions are open to ages 12-22 to accommodate actors in Junior High, Senior High and Transition Programming.
This musical is based on the 2016 Disney animated favorite and includes the main characters, Moana and Maui, both of whom have several vocal solos; secondary characters Chief Tui, Sina, Gramma Tala, and the giant crab Tamatoa, who all have solos; and several minor characters, as well as vocal ensembles for the various situations presented in the Polynesian Island setting.
Those interested in auditioning (grades 7-12 through age 22) should
Come to auditions prepared to sing a short musical selection of their choice
Dress comfortably to learn a simple dance combination
Review the audition readings to prepare a short line reading.
Our friendly and encouraging staff is looking for POTENTIAL, not perfection. New faces are always welcome, and former Stage Left Youth should bring friends to help create the world and tell the story of Moana.
