SPARK Storytellers: BEFORE & AFTER — Stories of Change

Do you feel a story coming on?
We all lived through 2020 and the pandemic years—but we didn’t all live the same story.
For our next SPARK Storytellers event, we’re gathering personal stories about those years and the ways the experience changed us. Not politics. Not policies. Not arguments about what should or shouldn’t have happened.
We’re interested in what happened to you.
Maybe your story begins with Before the pandemic, I thought… Now I know. Or perhaps it’s about something you lost—or found. Someone you missed. An unexpected kindness. Zoom calls, neighborhood walks, sourdough bread, toilet paper, isolation, family, work, school—or one tiny moment you haven’t thought about in years.
You bring the idea. We’ll help you find the story.
SPARK isn’t an open-mic night. Storytellers take part in a supportive six-week workshop process, developing a true personal story with SPARK coaches and fellow storytellers. By the end of the process, each storyteller has shaped, polished and memorized a story ready to share with a live audience.
In-person workshops begin Tuesday, September 22, from 1–3 PM at Lepper Library. Online workshops via Google Meet will be scheduled based on participants’ availability.
The journey culminates with SPARK Storytellers: BEFORE & AFTER — Stories of Change, Sunday, November 1 at 2 PM at the Historic Trinity Playhouse.
New storytellers are welcome. Returning storytellers, we’d love to have you back.
A caring family. A caring community. Both begin when we share and listen to each other’s stories.
Let’s SPARK some stories.
