Staying Alive: A Community Conversation
We’re inviting our community to gather for an evening of reflection, connection, and hope.
Why this matters—here, now: A local survey of youth across Columbiana County schools shows a clear need to strengthen youth connections by expanding meaningful belonging experiences, increasing access to positive adult mentorship, and creating more pathways for young people to engage and serve within the community.
When youth are surrounded by positive supports and strong relationships, they are more likely to experience a sense of belonging, improved emotional well-being, and the confidence to reach out for help when needed.
These are not abstract concerns. These are our kids, our families, our neighbors.
What to expect– Stage Left Players team member Paul Dahman will use his skills as an actor to offer an interactive presentation designed to provide a shared starting place for reflection and discussion. His work will help us slow down, notice, and open the door to honest conversation.
The Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board will be present to share information and resources from local organizations where community members who are struggling with mental health concerns can seek help and support.
This evening is about: • being present • listening without judgment • strengthening connection across generations • reminding one another that no one has to carry things alone
If you care about the well-being of our youth and our community, this conversation is for you.
Saturday, February 28, 2026 🕖 7:00 PM 📍 Trinity Playhouse 🎟️ Free and open to the community
Because staying alive sometimes starts with showing up—together.
