SPARK Storytellers Begin!

ree

Everybody has a story. The trick is discovering it, shaping it, and sharing it in a way that connects. That’s what SPARK Storytelling is all about.

This fall, we’re gathering storytellers—both veterans and newcomers—for our first event of the season: Crossroads. When have you faced a choice that changed everything? A fork in the road, big or small, that defined your journey?

To prepare, we’re offering a six-week storytelling workshop starting Wednesday, September 24th:

  • In person: 1–3 PM at the Lepper Library

  • Online via Google Chat: 7:30–9 PM

You’ll work alongside coaches Robin Tener and Kandy Cleland, who will help you uncover the heart of your story and bring it to life on stage.

What does Crossroads mean to you?

Here are a few sparks to get you thinking:

  • When you had to choose between two futures—college or career, city or hometown.

  • Picking between two friends when loyalties were tested.

  • Standing at a dessert table—three pies, one plate, only one choice!

  • Facing crossroads in faith, family, or love.

  • Choosing a new job, a new school, or even a new way of being in the world.

  • A small decision that turned out to matter more than you ever thought.

Why tell your story?

Because your story matters. When you share it, you connect with your neighbors. You show courage. You make someone else feel less alone. And together, those sparks of storytelling light up our whole community.

Come join us. Be brave. Step up to the mic. Because at Crossroads, your choice to share could change more than just your own story.
